New cameras from Canon. What are the differences?

This month Canon have announced not one, not two, but four new products! The new announcements include 3 cameras and 1 lens. Let’s have a closer look at what each new model will feature and how we can use it. 


The speed and quality of a DSLR, in a compact body you’ll want to take everywhere.m6-15-45-mmAs the manufacturer claims, this little camera will be your indispensable creative companion from the moment you take your first shot. Equipped with a large 24.2 MP sensor, this camera will let you capture amazing details, even in low-light and high-contrast conditions. Canon’s bespoke DIGIC 7 processor allows for accurate colours and smooth tones in your images. Adding the fact that this new camera is compatible with EOS M-lenses from the EF and EF-S ranges, you can easily imagine the high quality of the shots taken.

Performance wise, Canon stresses that this camera will focus as quickly and accurately as a DSLR, allowing for fast tracking of moving objects using Dual Pixel CMOS AF. The EOS M6 starts in an instant, letting you snap away at 9 fps and gives you full control over the results with the help of touchscreen interface.

Canon’s EOS M6 will also let you create full HD movies at 60 fps and the in-camera 5-axis stabilisation will work with any lens to help you film movies that are rock-steady.

Next-generation DSLR technology, made great quality results are the most important thing, the Canon EOS 800D makes it simple to capture photos and movies you’ll be proud of. EF-S 18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM

A versatile standard zoom lens that won’t weigh you down.

  1. Exciting new Canon products for just about everybody. As a photographer – and out side of my day job which is a Publicity Photographer and Photo Coach. I’m always looking for a new Canon product/camera – that will give me a better, faster not necessarily smaller camera! I’m still waiting for that ‘full frame’ baby Eos rangefinder though…
