Fujifilm launch two new lenses, camera and firmware updates

Fujifilm have welcomed us this morning with a launch of numerous items including a GF lens, XF macro lens, X-E3 camera, X Raw Studio software and X-Series firmware updates.

Fujinon GF45mm F2.8 R WR lens

The sixth lens in the GF Lens Series will be available in November 2017. The GF45mm F2.8 R WR is a highly versatile wide-angle lens with a focal length equivalent to 36mm (on a 35mm format). Thanks to its compact and lightweight design (weighing only 490g), this lens is ideal for street and documentary photography.

Fujifilm have used the Nano GI coating, to ensure the prime offers clear depiction performance with reduced ghosting and flare. Moreover, the weather and dust resistance allow you to use the lens in temperatures as low as -10°C.

FUJINON XF80mmF2.8 LM OIS WR Macro

The Fujinon XF80mm F2.8 LM OIS WR Macro is the first 1.0x magnification mid-telephoto macro lens for the X Series cameras range.

This lens features a focal length equivalent to 122mm (on a 35mm format), a maximum aperture of F2.8, and 1.0x magnification factor, a first in the X Series interchangeable lens range. Equipped with a powerful image stabiliser and designed to be ultra-lightweight, this lens performs superbly hand-held.

 

The XF80mm F2.8 LM OIS WR Macro lens will be available in November 2017.

Fujifilm X RAW Studio

Fujifilm have developed a new file conversion software: X RAW Studio which will be available later in November for Mac and in January 2018 for PC. The software will utilise the X-Processor Pro in the camera rather than the CPU in your computer in order to maintain a high image quality during conversion. Thanks to this development, both single and batch processing is believed to be handled far more efficiently.

 

Firmware updates for X-T2, X-T20, X-Pro2 and X 100F 

Free firmware updates for the  X-T2, X-T20, X-Pro2 and X100F and  will be available tare this year. Below are the key improvements broken down by model:

FUJIFILM X-T2: Ver.3.00 (due late November)
